How To Get Gallade Pokemon Go

Ralts is the featured Pokémon in the August Pokémon Go Community Day.

The event will start on Aug. 3 at 4 p.m. and continue until 7 p.m. in your local time.

Ralts' mid evolution, Kirlia, evolves into two different Pokémon. If you evolve it just using 100 Ralts candy, you get Gardevoir, the best fairy-type attacker in the game. If the Kirlia is male and you use 100 candy and a Sinnoh Stone, you get Gallade, a pretty OK fighting-type attacker.

How do I get a Shiny Ralts?

Shiny Ralts will spawn at about a one-in-24 rate during the three-hour period. After the Community Day ends, it'll be available to catch freely, though at a much lower rate. Just sticking around during the event and checking every Ralts you see should net you with at least one.

What move does Gallade and Gardevoir learn?

Both Pokémon learn the psychic-type move, Synchronoise, when evolved during the Community Day time period, and up to one hour after. (This means you can get the move until 8 p.m. in your local time.) The move doesn't change the Pokémon Go meta much. It puts Gallade and Gardevoir above Latios as a psychic-type attacker, but below Deoxys, Mewtwo, Azelf, Alakazam, and Espeon. That being said, don't stress about evolving if you're trying to max out on DPS.

How do I make the most of this Community Day?

This Community Day has eggs hatched four times faster than usual, so you should hold on to any incubators you have and put eggs in them during the event period. If you put them in before or after the three-hour block, you will not get the decreased hatch distance.

As with every Community Day, lures will also last three hours instead of the usual 30 minutes, so consider plopping one down at a local stop to net some Ralts.

If you're trying to make the strongest Gallade and Gardevoir possible, teach your Gardevoir Charm and Dazzling Gleam over the psychic-type moves. Gardevoir is a very good fairy-type attacker, which is helpful against dragon-type targets.

On the other hand, Gallade is a mixed bag. It's fighting- and psychic-typing make it an interesting flex. For fighting-type, it should know both Low Kick and Close Combat. For psychic-type, it will make use of the Community Day move; teach it Confusion and Synchronoise.

If you're deciding which shiny Ralts to evolve at the end of the day, try using one of the new search strings. Sort your 'mons by "recent" using the lower right icon, then type "4*" in the search box at the top. This will let you know if you have any 100% IV Ralts. Most people won't be so lucky, so next you'll want to type "3*" in the search box, which will show you any recent 'mons that are 80% or above. Appraise these to see which one is best and then evolve your new buddy!
